Too Much is Too Much!

Sorry......no pictures this post.  Just gotta explain.

I'm working on so many different things here lately..I just don't have enough time to do it all.   Christmas is coming up and here I am again and not enough time to make all the gifts I had planned.

Does every quilter have problems finding enough time or just me?

Let's try to find out......

1.  Do you like to sew & quilt?

2.  Do you do the grocery shopping?
3.  Do you put away the groceries?
4.  Do you clean out the refrigerator?
5.  Do you do the cooking?
6.  Do you do the dishes?
7.  Do you clean the floors?
8.  Do you do the dusting?
9.  Do you wash the windows?
10.  Do you do the gardening?
11.  Do you take care of kids?
12.  Do you clean up after all of the pets?
13.  Are you the family chauffeur?

We could GO on and on.......couldn't we?  What about the laundry?  What about changing the sheets on the beds?   What about taking time to take a shower?  Go get your hair cut?  or all the shopping?  getting the car washed?

Ok.....that's it!  I'm just GOing to GO back to number 1 and do it!   That's what I'm doing!  What are you GOing to do??

Thanks for visiting!

  2. Add to that caring for aging parents and grandchildren time!!! The day definitely needs to have 48 hours in it to even begin to be fair.

  3. Work takes up so much time and energy. Sometimes I work very long hours. It's hard to have anything left for my hobbies but I do what I can. I refuse to feel guilty about sewing, knitting or stitching. Sometimes you just have to carve some time out for yourself and put everything else on hold.

    13. Are you the family chauffeur? don't need one of those any more :D

What about the laundry? I do all that on saturday in between grocery shopping
What about changing the sheets on the beds? every saturday while doing laundry
What about taking time to take a shower? with as hot is it is outside, and remodeling another house, sometimes on saturdays and sundays I get 3 or more showers.
Go get your hair cut? nope it is down to my butt again.
or all the shopping? only groceries, or fabric :D
getting the car washed? only when it comes home muddy after playing in the woods, or I will have dear hubby do that while I clean out the travel trailer.
Also in there we find the time to go motorcycle riding, canoeing, hiking, camping too.

You only get one life to live, once your gone, noone is going to say, wow she never had one dust bunny in her house. But if you live your life in a grand way, when you go, people will say, she lived her life every single day, doing what she wanted to do, wish I coudl do that too.

So remember sometimes it is ok to let the dishes go for another day, and then tomorrow wash both days at once, it won't take much longer, and do something fun today, especially if the kids are still little, because they grow up very quickly!

  8. Dishes sometimes get put off with laundry----HECK all of it can get neglected. Sometimes we have to sit down and do what is the MOST important FIRST!!

Hard truth to swallow I know.

Thanks for sharing this with us!!
