It's been a very busy season in my ETSY Shop and just haven't had enough time each day to do everything.  Am sure you know what I'm talking about.  Orders for my Redwork Dishtowels Days of the Week have kept me glued to my embroidery machine......ain't that wonderful?

Here's what I finished this week:

And these

and even more of these

I'm beginning to think it's going to be a Gift Card giving year for me as I haven't done any shopping or decorating ..........YET!    What about you?

First SHOUT OUT of many to come!

And.......The Procrastinator Award......goes to............

.............yours truly.    Yup!  For sure.

I'm such an expert at delaying, putting things off, changing my priority list......yada yada da!  Sometimes, I wonder if I'm the only one who has all these ideas, intentions, plans......and can never get them all done, let alone.... started.  This is why I recently won the Procrastinator Award.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I love to promote ETSY and specific shops, artisans, handmade items, individual talent...etc. and have had this idea of sharing some people and shops here on my blog for quite a while now.

Finally, I'm going to be checking this one off the list for today.......hurray!  This post is my first of what I hope is many others to come.

Need some graphics help with a new banner, new avatar about your business cards?

Lots of people have told me they really like my new avatar & banner for my ETSY shop, Facebook page, Twitter, chat groups, blogger, etc.  New business cards were in order, so it went on there too.

Well,  the lady who is responsible for this look that totally captured my shop did such a terrific job for me is getting my first "shout out" to others.   Click here to find out more about her Shop.    Don't let the name of her shop fool you......she is a sweet, helpful, fun person.  She even talked to me a couple times on the phone until she got the exact look I wanted.

Here's the business card too......sure stands out from the typical, doesn't it?

I love my new Fun look she designed just for me and  think it definitely goes along with my name....Sew Fun Quilts.

If you need a new look or some new business her, you won't be disappointed.  Be sure you tell her Sew Fun Quilts sent you.  ok?

(Blogger is giving me fits today as I tried to change my background and colors to go along with my new will do it another time.)

Makeover Final Chapter

Boy.....I've been MIA here lately in blogland.   It's due to the time of year and I get very busy in my ETSY shop.   I've been doing a lot of machine embroidery and have finished up 65 Redwork Dishtowels like these for some of my buyers......yikes, that's a lot of dishtowels.....AND I had to iron each one too.

Okay...enough of that.  Today it's back to sewing/quilting time...yay!

Remember a while ago when I showed ya'll before pictures of my porch makeover?

Here's a few of the "after"  pictures.  Of course it rained and shows the  little muddy kitty footprints on everything and I didn't take the time to hose it down for the pictures.

This rug is normally in my sewing room and was getting yucky.  So, took it outside, hosed it down.....scrubbed it good.  After it dried I put it  on the porch.  It looks nice there, so I'll just leave it for now.

I even had my Hottie Handman build a small wall to cover up the messy underside of the porch next to the steps.   (Notice the hard cracked dirt........we need rain so badly!)

I promise, I promise, I promise my November Giveaway will be in the next few days, and not the last day of the month.  Be looking for it.

Thanks for visiting.

Fun Red Hat Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!  Tricks or Treats?

If you think Halloween and dressing up is just for kids, think again....and take a look.

We had our annual Red Hat Halloween party on Saturday at the Magic Time Machine Restaurant, and us old gals really know how to dress up/laugh/party and have fun.

Lots of different costumes!

The nun kept us in line, so we had to be good.....darn!

My sister and me.

Lots of fun displays all over the restaurant.

This Hootie Owl had to be Red and Purple....of course!

There always has to be a Red Hat Witch!

Where's our table?

I just had to show you this leather teapot purse!

Of course, we had to have our Princess Peggy attend this royal affair.

Where's the Rum?

Our waiter wanted to play too, but I told him he didn't have a hat, so he grabbed up a napkin and joined us!

We were having so much fun, the Simpson's joined us too!

Hope you have a fun Halloween too!
Don't forget today's the last day to enter my free Giveaway here.

My Assistant Caught Napping.......

I just can't get much help from my Assistant here lately.  This is Braveheart (aka The King) and he's been a little under the weather, so there's not much quilting assistance happening right now.

Wake Up!   Wake up and inspect these new Christmas mug rugs for me.

Ah! Mom.......let me go back to my nap......I'll inspect them later.

Boy, you just can't find good helpers who want to work!

What about you?  Do you have any quilt assistants or quilt inspectors?

Thanks for visiting.  October giveaway coming..........

Makeover Time!

My front deck has needed a complete makeover for over a year now.  I've painted it two times myself......but it needed more than just "cover-up make up".  If you don't believe me....just look at these pictures.  I live in a large mobile home and even tho my front deck is covered with a nice roof, the HOT Texas days, and the rainy days we had before our drought played havoc with all the wood.

Time to call out my Hottie Handyman to do some much needed repairs and do a makeover for me.  Remember...he's the same fellow who redid my floors in the kitchen, dining room, laundry room with Pergo flooring here.

Here's the old stairs ......showing a lot of old rotting wood.

  Yikes........what a mess!

And here's the start of the new stairs.....with less pitch/angle to them and much easier to climb.

I'll be sharing the final results in another stay tuned '
cause it's

almost time for my October Giveaway too.

Thanks for visiting.

Where Is She?

I'm sorry I've been a little sparse in blogging this past week.   My sister, Sally,  is here for a wonderful 10 day visit and we've been very busy "playing".

We came home from one of our 'playing'  days yesterday and I couldn't find Roxie, and was looking everywhere.  She loves to hide to take her naps.  Where is she?

My sewing room is sometimes left AS IS and all I do is shut the door, so the cats can't get in there......but guess we were in a hurry yesterday and I didn't close the door.

Here's  what I saw when I looked in the sewing room.

She didn't like it when I woke her up.......either.

"GO away, Mom, and let me sleep".

Guess I'd better remember to close the sewing room today when my sis and I GO
"Run and Play".

Thanks for visiting.

Sew Many Giveaways

Have you noticed all the neato Giveaways here lately?  Lots of 'em.  Must be the cooler days and the "giving" time of  year everyone is feeling.

Ya gotta go see the Men Quilt Too! show at Pigtales and Quilts and check out all the gorgeous quilts these men are making and then vote for your fav.  I did this on the very first day I learned about it and look what I won......just for leaving one eensy weensy  comment.

I believe there are really no accidents in life...and this is one of those times when it  proved to be true!  Leah Day is the gal behind this book and she created the Free Motion Quilting Project, and I had just watched several of her videos the week before.   If you aren't already familiar with her videos, you're missing a lot of good info and heap of fun.   Here's a couple of the fun samples I played around with, and still have some ready to go when I get some more time.

Now I just need to find some more time to practice.

Another blog that I like to follow is Stray Stitches and she is having her own Giveaway right now for a Fat Quarter bundle sponsored by The Fat Quarter Shop.

And still another Giveaway  at Lily Pad Quilting's blog for a jelly roll, also sponsored by The Fat Quarter Shop.

Well, that ought to keep you busy for a while.....right?

Hope you have fun and please tell them  Sew Fun Quilts sent you when you leave your comments.

My October Giveaway is coming up check back.
