Help Me With My Research!

Sorry no pictures today.....

I jammed the zoom lens on my HP digital camera while I was on vacation, and don't know if it can be fixed or not.....might have to buy a new one.   This one is about 7 yrs. old, so it's past time for a new one....just not time for my wallet!   Vacations are costly, don't ya know?

I'll be borrowing one in a day or so.....'cause I'm going to be having a Free Giveaway this week.  Stay tuned.

Now, I know ya'll can save me hours and hours of research by telling me what digital camera you prefer.  Won't you please help me with my research??

What model/brand of inexpensive "point and shoot" digital camera would you buy?  Price range under $150.00.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. Mine is a samsung s630. I like it. It's not too difficult to use and takes good pictures.

  2. Sorry about your camera....and sorry that I can't help you. My sons take over the decisions for me in that department and so I just use what ever comes my way.

  3. Judy, sorry about your camera. I watch Jeopardy and Wheel and put the answers in on Sony.com, and used the points last year to buy a Sony DSCW 210. It is easy, works great, and the program for the computer can do auto uploads to the main online sites. I do recommend it. It has taken some awesome pictures. I got it almost free with the points, but similar ones retail on Sony.com within your price range. You can get lower prices if you put in the puzzles, too. And it will arrive within a few days, free shipping.

  4. Mine is a Canon Power Shot A540, but there are newer models of the same camera. It's a great little point and shoot digital camera and it has a nice weight to it so it feels good in my hand. It does macro shots for super close-up stuff which I use often and it has lots of other cool features that I only play with occasionally. I use it for all my website photos and videos, and also for all our family stuff. I've had it for probably 4 or 5 years now and I just love it. Don't know exactly what the price is, but I think you can get them at Walmart, Target, those kind of places.

    Good luck with your search!

  5. The Nikon Coolpix S203 is great with a video but doesn't have 'stop action'....very small and all the extras you could want. Don't remember the price...however, I'm *positive* it was below $150.

  6. I asked my son recently what he would suggest for a good camera for me for taking photos of quilts and everything else, when I need to replace my Fuji digital Camera. His suggestion was a Cannon Power Shot. Good luck!

  7. I use a Casio Exilim - I have two models. One is the EX-V8 and the other is the EX-Z600. The EX-z600 is the older one and is my favorite. but they are both good cameras.

  8. I have a Canon PowerShot. I wanted one for a long time and finally got one on EBay for a frction of what the new ones sold for. Cheap, cheap, cheap. That's me. I believe Canon is the best camera of all time. I also have an old Canon SLR that still works, but who wants film now? I like your blog.
