Today is the start of the Quilts of Valor Blog hop at Marjorie B's Blog right here. If you are not familiar with the QOV now's the time to learn about it. Several different bloggers are participating in this special blog hop and offering giveaways. You can see the list here.
So, I added the QOV badges to my right hand side bar so you can GO and get the info to participate. You don't have to make a complete quilt.....just one block if that's all you can do. The main thing is to participate in whatever way you can.
Today I cut out a bunch of Red, White, Blue stars with my GO cutter and there's lots of them. I'm GOing to list some these in my ETSY Shop for the QOV project....very nominal cost of $1.00 to just cover listing and mailing costs.
If you want to buy some of these stars to applique on your QOV quilt blocks or quilt top, you can get them here.
Better yet, how about 10 FREE ones??
Just leave a comment here on my blog post and tell me you are GOing to tell someone or share this post on fb, twitter, etc., about the QOV Challenge, and I'll draw one lucky winner on Saturday, April 7th.
Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks to all of our past and present Armed Services Personnel for the USA!
Great idea! I'm going to make some blocks (or maybe a quilt top, depending on time, etc) and will share this on my blog and FB, too. Great stars!!
ReplyDeleteLast year I made some blocks with my quilting buddy and we has so much fun! So I am going to check out the QOV challenge and spread theword on FB.
ReplyDeleteI love making vets quilts. Am off to cut up some fabric. I will share on FB.

I am considering getting a GO! Cutter as it might be small enough for me to handle! Love the stars!
ReplyDeleteLove these! And would love to have a hand full for my next QOV! I participate in the QOV project with Dick and Tink Linhard, forwarding my projects from SE PA. I'm thinking of getting a Go! but being retired, (other than fabric) it isn't in my budget. this is a great idea and I had no idea just how crisp cut the Go! could cut a 5-point star.
ReplyDeleteLast year I made the M&S star block pattern and sent a batch to Moda for quilts. If win these stars, then have 2 Uncles that are decorated veterans and will collaborate with my mother to make a special quilt (we will figure out who and how if win).
ReplyDeleteWhat a great project, Judy. Great colors and great cause. I'm off to post on facebook and Pintrest.
ReplyDeleteI have the buttons on my blog :)
