Sometimes we just need to sew, sew, sew......and make something simple and easy. That's what I did with a pack of "It's a Hoot" Charm Squares from Moda.
The squares in the rows are off-set every other row.
Yes, I used my GO cutter to cut all the white 2 1/2" strips.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I like that, Judy!
ReplyDeleteGreat design! I like to take a pile of leftover fabrics from a quilt, and just cut them to as many of the same size rectangles or squares as I can, and make a small doll quilt or security blanket. And I love getting rid of scraps that way too, especially coordinating ones.
ReplyDeleteOH how I can't wait to get into my house in NC and sew, sew,SEW. AFTER unpacking of course!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I think I got that charm pack for Christmas. Now I have inspiration to use it! :) What I make when I want to sew, but not make anything too complicated, is usually a pillowcase or two.
ReplyDeleteYour 'simple' project is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I make anything simple! I love making things that challenge me... wierd I know.
I like that, looks easy enough
ReplyDeleteJudy that is so pretty! how are you going to quilt it?

What fun! Sometimes I have to give myself a shake, when I feel like I'm burning out. I get caught up in doing complicated projects that take too long, and just need a break to do something quick and fun. I make pot holders. :P
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! It must be a big one, using 5" squares! I usually revert to the instant gratification of a rag quilt when I need the fix for sewn & done!
