Are You Ready to GO??

Are you ready??

Today's the day for the start of my GO cutter giveaway, thanks to AccuQuilt and their wonderful generosity.

I want to thank the many of you who voted for me in Bejeweled Quilts Barb's GO Giveaway back in June when I won a GO Cutter from AccuQuilt.  Ever since then, my blog followers and other quilters I know have teased me about how much I capitalize the word GO in all my posts.  It is just so fun.......can't help it.  Now, it's my turn to pass that GO 'torch' to another lucky winner on August 31.

I'm going to keep it easy for everyone, with just a few rules:

You will be leaving only ONE COMMENT on  today's post and you will include a few easy components in this ONE COMMENT to qualify for an entry.

This Giveaway ends on August 31, 2010 at  12 noon.  The winner will be announced later that day.   People who already own a GO or Studio Cutter from AccuQuilt are not eligible.

1.  GO to my blog, (you're already here...silly me.) follow me and then tell me in your ONE comment. If you already follow my blog, tell me in your ONE comment. (If you want to post about this GO giveaway on your blog...many thanks!)
2.  GO  to Facebook, become one of my friends by sending me a request to become a friend,  then tell me in your ONE comment:  http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1233944773  My FB account is under my name..Judy Chain.   (If you don't have a Facebook page, now's the time to get one set up....it's easier than you think.) If you are already a fan of mine, then tell me in your comment.  (If you want to post about this GO Giveaway on your Facebook page, many thanks.)
3.  GO to Twitter, become one of my followers  and tell me in your ONE comment:  http://twitter.com/sewfunquilts  (If you don't have a twitter account, it is easy to create one...besides, it's fun!)  If you already follow me on Twitter, tell me in your ONE comment.  (If you want to tweet about this GO Giveaway on twitter, many thanks.)
4.  GO to AccuQuilt's facebook page   http://www.facebook.com/accuquilt   and become a fan by clicking on the "Like" button.  (See..that's definitely another reason to set up a Facebook account!)  Leave a comment on their FB page telling them "Sewfunquilts sent me."  Then come back  here and leave your ONE comment and tell me you did this.  If you are already a fan of AccuQuilt, then tell me...but don't forget to GO to their FB page and leave a comment that "sewfunquilts sent me".
5.   GO to AccuQuilt website  http://accuquilt.com  and check out the GO cutter; demos,  projects,  patterns, videos & dies.     Tell me which TWO features of the GO cutter you like the best for you., and WHY.  (Don't forget to tell me the why...ok?  I'd hate to have to disqualify you for not including that info in your ONE COMMENT.)

So, to sum it up a bit for you.  You will be leaving only ONE COMMENT for ONE ENTRY here on this POST only, and your comment must include all 5 of the above requirements.  Those that do NOT adhere to the rules and include all 5 components will be disqualified.  (Sorry...that sounds so harsh.  But...hey, we gotta follow the rules in life, so follow the rules to win this Giveaway.)

Be sure that I can reach you by clicking on your name, or leave your email address in your comment.

Thank you sew much, AccuQuilt, for giving me this opportunity for a fun GO Giveaway.  They are also giving me my choice of 3 Free GO dies for doing this Giveaway and promoting this fabulous fabric cutting system....called the GO cutter.   I will be sharing some projects with my new dies in the future.  AccuQuilt is absolutely outstanding for hosting these promotions, their innovative marketing, friendly personal customer service ......and they are just plain fun!

Good luck everyone and I hope you have fun!

  8. Well, I can see I won't be eligible for the giveaway as I am on a 10 yr old computer and I can't go on facebook or twitter, though I did set up accounts on both of them a long time ago...I had to deactivate them because everytime I signed into them my computer just totally freezes up, I have to manually shut it down, and when I reboot, it is often still frozen. We are hoping to get a new computer as a Christmas gift to ourselves, LOL. Anyway, I still wanted to say I now follow you because after wandering your blog for a while, I'm certain I will be a frequent visitor. I also want to wish all the eligible entries...GOOD LUCK!!!

  9. Lets try this again.

    1.) I am a follower already.
2.) I am trying to "favorite" you on FB. It did not come up, but am going back to retry now.
3.) I am a follower of yours on Twitter now.
4.) Left a message on Accuquilt FB page.
5.) I like the portability and coonvenience of the GO. It would certainly speed things up for me with my cutting and heaven knows that I have enough scraps to cut!!!! I like the fact that that I could easily move it from place to place to share it with fellow quilters.

  10. Hi, Judy. I am SO excited for you and for me, because I can win a GO. I follow your blog, you and Accucut on FB, and you on Twitter. I love the idea of speedier cutting, and the accuracy of the sizes. I would love a GO to make my sewing easier and more accurate. I also love the new dies they have, and their marketing. The Barn quilt block, the variety of videos they have, etc. Can't wait to join the GO team. So GO, TEAM!! Now to leave a note on Accuquilt's page that you sent me! Hugs,
    Maryellen

    5. What I like best about the Go is that it folds up and that you don't have to dedicate a table to it all the time. Second I like that dies come with it and the variety of ones to choose from later. We all now that we are always doing something different so will need different dies for different projects. It is also nice to have some to start with to play.

  12. 1. I follow you already.
    2. Your link doesn't take me to a specific page on facebook so I friended you and liked your status about this giveaway. I'm hoping one of those things is what you meant for the rules.
    3. I created a twitter and follow you on there now.
    4. I'm already a fan of Accuquilt on facebook, but I just posted that you sent me.
    5. I would love to have a GO! because of the (1) speed of cutting and (2) accuracy of cuts. I have trouble making my strips straight, but tend to use them ALL the time in my quilts. I also find that it takes hours to iron and cut fabric in order to prepare to put together a quilt. It would be AMAZING to significantly cut this amount of time down so that I could make more quilts in the time I have! It would also help improve the quality of quilts with more accurate cuts.

Thanks for the opportunity! I'm really crossing my fingers I'll win this time!

  13. I am following you on Facebook (where I heard about this giveaway, Twitter, and of course your fun blog! Thanks for the chance to win a GO! I have been wanting one for some time now and just can't fit it into the budget, so winning one would allow me to cut out baby quilt pieces, (which I cut out for several members of my church) in no time flat! I am also interested in the die for cutting strips! Great product!

  21. Hi everyone! Thanks to everyone who has commented so far.

I do NOT want to dis-qualify any one........so.. I'm reminding everyone that you HAVE TO DO all 5 of the requirements in order to qualify for an entry, including leaving the comment on AccuQuilt's FB page that "sewfunquilts sent me".

My Facebook page link is working and it's under my personal name..Judy Chain, not Sewfunquilts. Some of you have not left a way for me to contact you, so if you do not have a blog, please leave your email address on your post.

    Thanks and good luck.

  22. Hi Judy,
I was already following and enjoying your blog. I posted that you sent me on the AccuQuilt FB page where I was already a fan. I sent you a friend request on FB with a comment referring to this contest. I actually joined Twitter just to enter this contest! The things I will do to win a GO ... sheesh! As for the features, (1) it is up to 90% faster than rotary cutting, so I get to start sewing my quilt top much sooner, and (2) it cuts accurate shapes which means I have less trouble piecing my quilt and the many choices of dies are so great!

  23. I'm a follower of your blog.
I'm a follower on Twitter. I have tweeted.
I'm an AccuQuilt fan on facebook.
I've added you as a friend on facebook (pending your acceptance).
    Features I like the best:
Accuracy - I hate to cut fabric. The more I have to cut, the more I hate it and I'm probably not the most accurate.
Portability - I can take it anywhere! Vacation, classes, etc.

    Thank you for this giveaway!

  24. I am now following your blog (#1), I sent you a friend request on Facebook (#2 – no “like” option available there…), I now follow you on Twitter (#3), I am already a fan of AccuQuilt on Facebook and I left a comment there that you sent me (#4), and I went to the AccuQuilt website. My favorite two features of the GO! cutter are the accuracy and ability to cut through up to 6 layers of fabric (#5). Now all that is left is for the random number generator to pick ME! =D Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey, Judy!! It's me, Grandma Barbara!! What a great giveaway!!

I already follow your (1)blog, (2)Facebook and (3)Twitter accounts. (4)I'm already a fan of the Accuquilt FB page and left them a message that you had sent me. (5)I looked over the Accuquilt site for the umpteenth time (I go there a lot to drool) and my favorite features are (1)the portability since I don't really have room here to keep a cutter out all the time and it would be so easy to store and (2)the speed with which the cutter works! I have a lot of things to take care of around the house here and anything that can speed up completion of my projects would be greatly appreciated.

  26. Hi!

    1. I already follow you, Judy.
    2. I'm already your fan/friend on facebook.
    3. I just signed up to follow you on Twitter.
    4. I'm already a fan of AccuQuilt's on facebook and I just left a comment saying that YOU sent me. Ü
    5. My two favorite features of the GO! are (1.) that the cutting is PRECISE! Even with my great rotary cutter and fantastic rulers, I sometimes don't get my pieces exact. That won't be a problem with a GO! and (2.) lifetime product service. I really DISLIKE getting a new toy, finding some difficulty with it and NOT getting help from the manufacturer OR only having the 'help' available for a VERY limited time period.

THANKS Judy & AccuQuilt! I hope this GO! is GO!ing to come live with ME!

    XXOO!

  27. Hi. I am now following your blog. I have been following you on facebook for a while and now on Twitter, also. I "liked" Accuquilt on facebook and left a message that you sent me. I visited the Accuquilt website and the two features I like about the Go! cutter is, of course, the speed because getting pieces cut is time consuming and I like the portability because of space and storage issues.

Thanks for the chance to win.

  31. Hi Judy!

    What fun this is.

I am following your blog, I sent you a friend requests, we are already twitter friends, I am following accuquilt on FB and I am drooling over the studio cutters.

I would love to have the GO, but if I won the lottery and could buy anyone that I wanted it would be the studio. I have some items in my shop that I use templates to cut hundreds and hundreds of pieces. I love the idea of being able to order a custom die for the Studio and cutting 10 at a time with the crank of a handle!

Thanks for doing the give away!

    4. I signed up as a friend of Accuquilt. Also wrote that you sent me as part of your giveaway.
    5. I have never actually seen a Accuquilt work. I think I would like the accuracy that all pieces would be the same. I have never appliqued and would love to use the shape to make unique quilts.
    6. I will go back now and post about your give away on my blog!

Whew--That was a lot for my ONE COMMENT! Thank you for the opportunity to attempt to win a GO!!!

    3. I now follow you on Twitter (MGMishooked)
    4. I'm already an Accuquilt fan on facebook, but I left a comment saying you sent me!
    5. I would like the crank handle for cutting pieces since I have carpal tunnel syndrome and cutting with scissors or a rotary cutter can be hard on my hands. I would also like the accuracy of the cuts because I get so frustrated when my quilt pieces are not exactly the same size.

Thanks for this chance at winning this fun product!

Of course I follow you blog and have since Barb's giveaway.I friended you on Facebook. I opened a twitter account and am now following you there. I was like Accuquilt on FB and posted a note saying you sent me. ;) I love that the cuts are true, the tumbler I made went together in a breeze (barb sent me the blocks.) I also love the trimmed and I don't have to trim dogears. It was so nice to assemble a quilt without dogear cutting.

Thanks you Judy and Accuquilt for the chance to try and win yet again!

    4. I already follow acuquilt on fb, posted a note that you sent me and try every Friday to win, but so far, no luck.
    5. I would love to win a GO because today while cutting a zillion 2 1/2 inch strips for binding, I threw my back out. I just know that having a GO cutter would have saved me the pain and agony of having to GO to the doctor. I could have GOne straigt to my sewing machine and GOt a lot more work done!!!

I also want one because it can cut through my huge scrap pile in a matter of minutes and give me extra time for eating ice cream, one of my favorite past times. What more could a girl want? Perfectly cut and useable scraps and ice cream? I promise to share!

    huff-puff I am GOing for the GO ! ! !
    on to the next step

5 I've been to the AccuQuilt's website and have the two features I like best about the GO.
The first is the light-weight of the GO since my daughter [who lives 'cross town] and I are GOing to share this GO this will making that sooo much easier.
The other feature is the ability of the GO to cut several layers of fabric at one time. This I know will leave much more time for sew, Sew, SEWING. Since I am getting older I want all the time I can get for Sewing.

Judy, thanks for giving us the opportunity of trying to win a GO
Like everyone Commenting here I would dearly love to win.

    Hugs,

Oh, how I hope I win this.

    5. I love the portability (That means I can share with friends and quilt guild..) I also love all the video demonstrations and versatility so I can make tons of charity quilts quickly and effortlessly.… it seems like new dies are always coming out and then more ideas to use those dies. I like the ease with which you can cut multiple pieces of fabric .. it’s ingenious that I can save time… even my friend with arthritis can use her’s very easily…

    5) I love just about everything about the Go!, but two things in particular stand out. It cuts up to 6 pieces of fabric at a time, accurately! What a wonderful way to save time and frustration, since I'm not always the most accurate rotary cutter. And second, it folds up to save space! If you saw my office/sewing area, you'd know why that's such a big deal. There's not much room left in here, so being able to fold it up and put it away when not in use is great!

  55. Okay, I've had fun on an AccuQuilt GO, I know I'd love one!! So:
I follow you on this blog and Facebook (my facebook is with my husband under Larry Davis), I am a follower of Accuquilt on facebook and made a comment for you!, I started a Twitter account (just because of your request :-} ), I see the ability to accomplish accurate, matching cuts, like the snowflake I'm working on, and not being frustrated to the point of quitting on a project-! and I love their fun shapes!

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  56. Hi there,

A GO giveaway, that I have to have a GO at winning!

    1. I was already a follower of your blog.
    2. I have added you as a friend on FB...couldn't see how to become a fan, so thought (in my novice user status in FB land) that adding you as a friend was the best bet.
    3. I am now following you on Twitter....have had the account over a year, and this is the 2nd time I've used it...lol I posted about the giveaway for a GO in my account....I think...lol
    4. I'm already a fan of Accuquilt on facebook, but I just posted that you sent me.
    5. I would love to have a GO! because of the time saving aspect of using a GO! and how the precision the GO! cuts with, will help me become a good quilter. Being that I've only made one quilt, I can see that a GO! would save me time and fabric...what a wonderful way to GO! make more quilts...hee hee hee I also like the variety of GO! Dies that are available...can't wait to see all the new ones they release in the future.

I'm going to pop a link in the sidebar on my blog about your giveaway...thanks so much for the opportunity to win my own GO! instead of salivating at Barb Gaddy's pics of what she makes with hers...and everyone elses' too.

    Hugs
    Naomi

    3. I am a follower of yours AND Accu-quilt on Twitter...
    4. I don’t like, I LOVE Accu-Quilt on facebook!!!

    (can't delete the first entry...sorry)

    3. Follow you on twitter @lisansc
    4. Already a FB fan of accuquilt.
    5. I like the GO! because it is safe, rotary cutters can be scary! And I like the accuracy, I'm not exactly the most consistent when it come to cutting fabric :)

  60. Now Judy you know darn well that I really need to win this for the new class I will be teaching soon.
I am a follower of yours here, on facebook and twitter. I am a fan of accuquilt on facebook plus I get their newsletter and I left a comment on fb. I would love to have both of the rag dies. The GO will save me time and cut accurate squares.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Okay! Here I GO!
1:Go see that I am a follower of your Blog!
2: Go see that I am a friend of yours on Facebook!
3: Go see I am a Twitter follower!
4: GO see I was already a huge fan of the Go cutters on Accuquilt's facebook page!
5: The 2 Go features I like the best are:
a: The quickness and accuracy of the cutter. I am a super perfectionist when it comes to cutting and they Go would make my work so much faster so I can Go do other things.
b: I love that the Go is small because when I Go to quilt I have to GO to a very small area in my home!

Hahahaha! I hope you didn't mind all the GO's
    Thanks Tanya

  62. 1) I follow your blog.
    2) I am now a friend on Facebook.
    3) I am a follower on Twitter.
    4) I am a fan of Accuquilt's Facebook page.
    5) The two Go! features I like the best are the ability to cut strips quickly and accurately. I am left handed and sometimes it is difficult for me to cut strips accurately. Also, I love the different applique dies that are available. Once again, because being left handed it is difficult to hold scissors and get an even cut. I am hoping if I win one, the cutting part of my quilting will become easier!

  63. What an awesome giveaway!
    1) I am following your blog now
    2) I'm a friend on Facebook (Julie Earsom)
    3) I'm following you on Twitter (stampmeup)
    4) I became a fan of Accuquilt fan on Facebook and posted my comment “Sewfunquilts sent me. So here I am!!"
    5) The Go! cutter is just amazing! Two things are the accurate cutting and the portability. Why? First, the accurate cutting is a MUST for all quilts. I’m just not patient enough with scissors. Secondly, I like the compact size & portability so that I could take it room-to-room in the house, wherever I decide to work at the time, and I can pick it up and take it to our church’s Ladies Quilting Club. We like to share tools and ideas
    Thanks again! Julie Earsom (stampmeup@hotmail.com)

  68. I did most of these fun tasks twice, not too tech savy you might say....
1.following your blog, pretty interesting too!
2.sent a friend request to you as friend on face book(couldn't find the 'like button',please don't disqualify me, I looked and looked and looked for one that wasn't on an advert.)
3.became a follower on Twitter..didn't even know my cell phone could do that, had to check the instr. book that came with it....age is creepin up faster 'n' faster I guess
4.found the 'like' button on Facebook for AccuQuilt and became a fan(So Simple)and told 'em you sent me.
5.First favorite feature is the accuracy of the cut and the reason being that I can measure and remeasure and remeasure, I don't care how many times, and I'll still get quite a few wrong! Makes me crazy! Second favorite feature...hmmm...so much to choose from, so light weight and so very many die sets to choose from. That's three things but I just couldn't help it. Thank you for the chance to cut it right. I'm keepin'em crossed!

3 - I don't tweet, but I just signed up and am following you.
4 - I liked Accuquilt and left a message on their wall like you asked. :)
5 - I like that there is quite a wide variety of dies because you never know what you are going to need to cut for a pattern or quilt and you don't want to have a lot of fabric waste when you are done. I also like that you can cut several layers of fabric at once so that it saves time in 2 ways!!

    Thanks!!

P.S. - All that following makes me sound like a stalker. LOL Now off I GO to promote this wonderful giveaway!

    4. I was already a fan of Accuquilt on Facebook
    5. What I like best about the Go is that it folds up and that I would be able to take it to see my mother in law to help her cut a few things. Second I would love one to help me be able to cut with out bumps or curves, I am new to quilting and Im not very good with the rotary cutter.

  82. Hi Judy!

    1. I am now a follower of your blog!
    2. I sent a friend request to you through facebook - glad to find you!
    3. Also following you on Twitter.
    4. Have been a fan of Accuquilt for a while now.
    5. My favorite feature of the Go is it's portability. For those of us with a smalller space it's great because you don't need a dedicated space like you would for the Studio model. The second is that the dies are easier to handle, and available at my local JoAnn's! I love the Studio we have in the quilt shop, but the dies are really heavy and difficult to store. (That's really three instead of two, hope that's ok!)

    5. I REALLY like the 2 1/2 strip cutter because this is a size I use quite often. The other thing I like is the ease of use. It would certainly take the strain off your hands and back from rotary cutting and the accuracy would be superb.
    Thanks for the opportunity...Lynne

  86. Hi Judy:
First, thanks for doing this giveaway - so generous of you - and Accuquilt!
I've sent you a friend request on Facebook (still waiting for confirmation)
    I follow you on Twitter.
I am already a fan of the Go Studio on Facebook and have posted a comment there that you sent me there.
I am now following your blog AND
    1. I love how quickly and accurately you can cut shapes with the Go cutter and 2. that they provide you with everything you need to actually start using it in the initial package (don't have to even buy any dies - at first!).
Thanks for entering me in the draw.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Sorry, Judy, I forgot to add some information in my comment as to why I like the Go Cutter - 1. by cutting shapes accurately and quickly, you save time and 2. you don't have to spend any extra money when you first purchase the Go Cutter as everything you need to start is already included.
Hope you don't disqualify me for 2 comments (pretty please??)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Judy:

    1. I am a follower on your blog!
    2. I went to Facebook and requested to be your friend!
    3. I follow you on Twitter!
    4. I am already a fan on AccuQuilt GO and then left a comment that you sent me!
    5. Two features of the GO that I love are: The accuracy; why, because the SAME shape is cut everytime--no ands, ifs or buts about it--this I cannot do with any other method! Second is the speed; why, because I can cut 10 layers of a single shape or strip without any problem. I can have a quilt cut in no time at all!

Thanks for the chance to win!!!!

    2. I sent you a Facebook friend request.
    3. I follow you on Twitter.
    4. I'm a fan of AccuQuilt GO on Facebook.
    5. I love the that the GO cutter is portable, and that there are a variety of dies that you can use with it. The reasons I love these features are: I can take it with me when I have a quilting session at a friend's house, it doesn't take up a lot of space, so storage isn't an issue (not that it would ever be put in storage!), and you can cut lots of different shapes quickly and accurately.

Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  90. 1. I am a follower !

    3. I finally signed up for Twitter, and sent you a tweet ... thanks for making that a priority ... I procrastinated long enough :)
    4. I've been a FAN of AccuQuilt's facebook page for awhile :)
    5. a. One thing I like about the AccuQuilt GO! is the precision you can cut with to make sure EACH piece is exact and accurate! I need all the help I can get! :) I use a die cutter for teachers when I volunteer at my G'daughters school, and KNOW the ease and accuracy with which they work... I always thought it would be AWESOME to be able to do that for fabric! O, the modern age! :))))
    b. I LOVE the fact that it allows me (a building-my-confidence beginner) to think OUTSIDE the box, and expand my horizons with the FABULOUS die cuts! It just makes my head spin with creative ideas at the possibilities!

  91. Hello again everyone! SEW FUN QUILTS here..nagging you all again.

That's great that you tell me your are a fan of AccuQuilt's facebook AND you are still supposed to leave a comment on their FB page. IF you do NOT tell me that you left a message on AccuQuilt's FB page saying "sewfunquilts sent me" you have not met all the requirements to receive a valid entry for the GO giveaway.

There are also people who are commenting, but leaving me no way to contact you because you have your profile protected and did not leave an email addy in your comment. mmmmh?? guess you don't really want a FREE GO cutter!

GO and comment to AccuQuilt.."sewfunquilts sent me" and come back here and add another comment that you did that.

IF you do not do that, you will be disqualified!

    3. become a friend of mine on facebook...and tell me. I sent you a friend request on Facebook, I can always use another quilter friend :OP

    4. GO to AccuQuilt's facebook and become a fan or "like", and tell them "sewfunquilts sent me"...then tell me. I already "liked" AccuQuilt on facebooks so I left a post saying sewfunquilts sent me :OD

    5. GO to AccuQuilt's website, look at the GO. Tell me which two features you like about the GO.
I love that it is portable(feature 1) so I can take it to my monthly quilt group.
I love the feature(2) that allows you to stack up to 6 layers of fabric to make things go quicker, The reason I love this feature of the GO is that I have Fibromyalga and Chronic Fatigue and when I have to do any cutting it wears me out and makes my quilting time even less. Having a GO would let me do in a few minutes what would take me several days to a week because I have to rest after I cut anything.
I hope I have covered all the points you wanted and I will cross my fingers until you give away the Go Thanks for the chance.

  94. I now follow your blog.Maybe you will follow mune!
I now follow you on Twitter.
I sent you a friend request on Facebook.

2-I'm a friend on your facebook page
3-I now follow you on twitter
4-I have become an Accuquilt follower on Facebook and said that you sent me
5-I would like the strip cutter size 2 1/2" which is the Jellyroll size used in so many quilt patterns and the other one I like is the 1 1/2" strip cutter that I would use lots for borders or log cabin strips.

    ReplyDelete
  96. 1. I am a follower of Sew Fun Quilts.
    2. I have sent you a request to be a friend on Facebook. Please say yes.
    3. I am a follower on Twitter.
    4. I am already a follower of AccuQuilt on Facebook, but I left a comment today that you sent me.
    5. First, the primary feature is precise, accurate shapes. I think my quilts will improve with that feature. I try to be accurate. People have been quilting for a very long time, and making it work with the cutting is a talent and achieved ability. But how much easier would it be if the cutting is accurate to begin with. And because some my quilting is for charity, the accuracy would make construction that much faster and easier.
Second is the speed factor. Quilting is one of my crafting interests. I want to quilt, as well as sew, cross stitch and crochet. Any way I can use my time more efficiently and carefully is a way I want to use it. It isn't a matter of doing more, but it's doing what interests me with the least amount of wasted time. From what I see, the GO! is very quick.
Combining the accuracy of the GO! and the speed of the GO! make it highly desirable to someone who loves quilting and crafting in general. There are probably more features I would love about the GO! I'll find out about them when I finally get one:)

    ReplyDelete
  97. I follow your blog.
I am now a facebook fan of yours.
I follow you on twitter. @quilary
I am a fan of AccuQuilts facebook page.
The 2 features I like are that it can cut 6 layers of fabric and love the idea of a double wedding ring die. I am in the middle of cutting all those little pieces by hand. I could really, really put that die to good use and get the quilt finished before I grow old!

    1. I follow your blog.

    2. Sent a friend request on FB.

    3. Tweeted on Twitter mentioning sewfunquilts and the GO.
That's a different kinda place... new to me. :-)

    4. Said "sewfunquilts sent me" on Accuquilt FB page and became a fan.

    5. As for features...
---"Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy!" This is one of the important features. A friend visited a quilt shop, rented their machine (the shop size one) and cut HUNDREDS of charms from her stash to give as gifts for her friends. Our charms packs were perfect. And she even cut that cute little plastic case to present them in.
---Endless Options. The Accuquilt Co. keeps adding new dies to their line.... to include very popular quilt patterns that were labor intensive to cut, like the drunkard's path. Cutting "multiple layers" of odd shaped pattern pieces is a real plus!

There are sooooo many books/patterns available now that use strips and charms. The GO cutter would be a much welcomed addition to my sewing studio... AKA, the spare bedroom! :-) Thanks again!

    ...Karen

what I like about the GO is the speed! I am all about instant gratification! Since I have a little one and work and go to school full time, I have little time for my quilting so speed is always good!

  103. Hello Judy! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to win a Go cutter. I follow your blog; I follow you on twitter; we are already friends on facebook; I joined accuquilts FB page and left a message that "sewfunquilts" sent me; visited the website and love all the features of the Go cutter, but since I can only choose two, they would have to be that it's FAST because who has time to spend on cutting for hours and that it is very ACCURATE which is the number one priority for me as doing things right the first time makes "everything" much easier!

a)being a new quilter the feature of cutting perfect pieces will allow me to quilt to the best of my ability.
    b) It being portable will allow me to take the GO! with me so I can cut fabric to my hearts content :)

  106. Ok so I think I got this right
    1. I signed up to follow your blog.
    2. I joined Twitter (just for this) and now follow you, and so far just you :)
    3. I followed your facebook, I am pretty sure
    4. I became a friend of Accuquilt and told them you sent me.
    5. I love that I could whip through my scraps in no time and that I could use it with my 6 year old who is quilting now. I also love that all the applique options it has. I just noticed they have a wedding ring die, and I have a wedding ring quilt cut out and sitting in a box waiting for me to get to it (for 6 years). Just thinking about how long it took me to cut it out back then make me laugh to see how quickly I could with the accuquilt.
Alright, hope I did it all right, now back to my 3 kids who are very upset I am not spending time with them right now ;)

  107. Hello Judy!

Thank you so much for this opportunity!

    1. I am now following you Judy.
    2. I requested to be your friend on facebook.
    3. I just signed up to follow you on Twitter.
    4. I'm already a fan of AccuQuilt's on facebook and I just left a comment saying that you sent me and that I would love to win this GO! cutter!
    5. My two favorite features of the GO! are (1) that the cutting is PRECISE! I cannot stand straight, exact pieces to work with and that seems to not be a problem with a GO! and (2) lifetime product service. I am very excited that the manufacturer is willing to stand behind the product forever, and that lets me know that it is the product I want.

Thank you very much, Judy & AccuQuilt! I hope this GO! is GO!ing to come to me soon! I can't wait to get cutting and GO!ing. Have a great day,

    Miranda

  108. Thanks for the chance to win a GO!
    1. I am now following your blog.

    2. I am already a facebook friend. :-)

    3. I opened a Twitter account and following you there too!

    4. I was already an Accuquilt fan and I left a post saying "Sewfunquilts sent me."

    5. The first feature I like about the GO! Cutter is that fact that it's up to 90% faster than rotary cutting. I cut a lot of fabric for Quilts for Kids kits and quilt and bind one little quilt a day. The strip cutter would REALLY speed that part of the process along.

The second feature I like is the accuracy. I've tried every ruler known to (wo)man and this is probably the only thing that can overcome user error caused by lining up the wrong darn line on a ruler! LOL

  110. Wow, I really want to win the GO! I have been a follower of your blog for a while and also on Facebook. I love all your postings, info and items for sale. Now that I am tweeting, I will follow you there too. The Accuquilt website was great, especially the video on the GO. Two of the many great features I like is the fact that it is all 1 unit and there is no assembly really will make it easy to spend the little free time I have working on a project instead of setting up and cleaning up. Lightweight is always good because I am usually carrying way too much at one time everywhere I GO. I also became a fan of Accuquilt's Facebook and told them that you sent me. Now all that is left is to WIN!!! Thanks, Lisa

I hope I followed all the requirements, because I really want to win a GO.

I went to the Accuquilt site and took a look at the Go! the two features I love about the GO! are:
1)portability! being able to take this anywhere to work on projects is fabulous!
2)Once you've cut your pieces you don't have to remove the die and put it back on the other side. It can roll through either way.

  123. Have we satisfied all the giveaway rules so mother-daughter tag team of Margaret/Marcia could win a GO! cutter??
    1. I follow your blog http://sewfunquilts-sewmeow.blogspot.com/ as Marcia and joined 12-Aug as google friend connect
    2. We follow you on twitter...as MargaretQuilts (hope I set up twitter account OK)

    4. I was already a GO! fan (or like) on AccuQuilt's facebook, and on 12-Aug Margaret posted that "sewfunquilts sent me".
    5. Two features we like about the GO!, and why. The GO! cuts faster, easier, and more accurately than using a rotary cutter. Second, customer testimonials state that the GO! helps quilters who have health issues that affect cutting. I have fibromyalgia and my mother has arthritis. This impacts our hands and ability to stand/lean over for rotary cutting. A GO! will let us enjoy our quilting with less pain.

    5. I've been eyeballing the GO! system for a while, and as I go deeper into my love of quilting, I know it would really help me with my speed and accuracy. I have lots of little babies coming into my life soon, and cutting lots of pieces at once would speed up the gift-giving process. It would also help me with my accuracy, as I struggle with slight wonkiness.

    5. I am new to quilting and looking for something to make me interested in the quilting side instead of the hand-cramping-scissor side, so the big benefit is the dies. I was also curious about doing appliques - got tons of those old conference bags that would make great reusable grocery sacks and the different dies would be easy to cover the various logos.
