WHAT DO I HEAR?? Am I going bananas??

Yes, I'm always going bananas.....going to the store to buy more bananas, putting bananas in the little basket on the kitchen counter, peeling  bananas, eating bananas!

Besides going bananas,  I think I'm starting to hear Christmas bells ring too!   I'm a Ding a Ling!    So been busy adding new things to my Etsy store.

This is a small table topper quilt kit, with all the pre-cut fabrics, borders, templates, & even the fusible... needed to make this cutie! 


As you can tell, I love the scrappy look!

Wow! QUILT EYE CANDY!

Here's some "Eye Candy" for all you quilters out there.
Last Sunday my sister and I went to the Greater San Antonio Guild Quilt Show.   My sis and I have each won a couple of ribbons from this show in the past.      There were so many beautiful quilts to see, & not enough time to "study" them all up close.   

oops!  didn't rotate some of these pictures.......sorry 'bout that.

 Makes you want to get off the computer and go play with your fabrics & start sewing on a new quilt project, doesn't it??  Me too!

I didn't realize it has been so long since my last  post.  Have had a sick cat that has needed lots of attention; force feeding, & force watering with a syringe (after swaddling him in a big towel and securely holding his front legs) along with antibiotics 4 times a day.  He's better, thank goodness..and am just monitoring his intake and output very carefully now.   Yes, that's his picture in my last post!

IT'S A LOVE AND HATE RELATIONSHIP!

COMPUTERS!  Love 'em and Hate 'em!    I love being able to use my computer for keeping in contact with family & friends, designing and creating my projects, quilts & patterns, storing & printing out photos, selling on Ebay & Etsy, meeting new people on Blogger....etc.  What fun!

I HATE 'em when they start acting up and it takes so long (sometimes hours & hours) to get the problems diagnosed and fixed.  (I just went through this with my printer/pc communication link and had to download new patches, etc. from HP.) 

I wonder if this fellow  is secretly using my computer & messing things up???  He sure likes his share of the desk and likes to paw at my hands when I'm typing.  Maybe the "King" (named Braveheart) is using his throne power!   He does look a little disgusted with me, doesn't he?   MMMMH????

CUTTING FRENZY today in my house!

Here's a couple pictures of what I have been doing today; cutting Christmas fabrics into squares and jelly rolls for my Etsy store.  Jeez!  It doesn't look like much, but have cut up over 10 yards, so far.....and more to go.   I plan on taking a break from the cutting for now so I don't get "Cutters Arm"  and will stack, sort, count and bag up while watching tv tonight. 

Some of these are vintage Christmas prints, some are contemporary, and some are traditional.  It's a nice mixture and need to add some more light prints,  That's for a different cutting session, no more today!

FINALLY They are ready to be mailed!

I just can't seem to get things finished here lately in a timely manner without;  delays, interruptions, watching too much tv, Dr. appointments, packaging up Ebay & Etsy orders, emails, phone calls, etc......

These are the 4 finished blocks I've got to  mail to the team leader for our QCG (Quilters Corner Group) Charity auction on Ebay in October for the Susan G. Komen Cancer Research Fund.  QCG is just a bunch of quilters who belong to a quilting group on Ebay.  Many in our group are making quilt blocks for a Raggy Quilt we will be auctioning off in October on Ebay.   We email chatter everyday, share our quilting stuff, our daily lives,  laugh & cry together.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so be watching  for QCG's Raggy Quilt Auction on Ebay.

CHARITY QUILT 4 SGK CANCER FOUNDATION

Our quilting group on Ebay (QCG) - Quilters Corner Group will be hosting a Charity quilt auction in October for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month...get your mammograms, ladies! Gents, remind the women in your life to get a mammogram.

Several members of our group are making 9 1/2" quilt blocks and sending them to one of our group leaders who is coordinating this group effort. She will sew them into our Charity Breast Cancer quilt and list it for auction in October. I'll post more info about it later.

Time to get my blocks made, so this morning I pulled out some pink fabrics from my stash and started playing. mmmmh?? W.I.P. ...work in progress.

I'll post pictures of the finished blocks ...hopefully later today.

This is Princess, one of my 3 spoiled cats, that let me live with them. She thinks she's Queen, but alas.........only a Princess! It's a shame you can't see her beautiful fluffy tail in this picture....so pretty, my Princess! All 4 feet have white satin "slippers" on them.
