Resting on Labor Day?

How many of you know when was the first official Labor Day Holiday?  Well, it was September 5, 1882 and then officially 1884.  Ok..... we have that out of the way.  (And...if you want to know more, just google it...that's what I did.)

Since I don't like to write a post without pictures, here's one of Princess.  It has nothing to do with Labor Day, but this sure looks like a great way to spend the day, don't you think?

Woke up this morning and thought......ahhh!  a nice day to just kick back, chomp on bon bons,  (not really 'cause I'm on a new eating plan to lose more weight...but thought that sounded like what I was supposed to say.)  read my current book on my new Nook reader, watch some movies on tv and just laze around.

Are you kidding me???  That's a great fantasy, but....... NO.....what did I really do?

A few exercises.....(not too many....after all, this is my day of REST!)
Took a shower, washed my hair
Cleaned up the kitchen after breakfast
3 loads of laundry
Cleaned the bathroom (definitely not fun!)
Cleaned the kitty boxes (another one that's definitely not fun, but necessary)
Swept the kitchen/dining room/laundry room floor
Scrubbed all of the above floors (and boy they needed it)
Emptied trash all over the house
Paid the bills
Texted to two of my kids
Vacuumed bedroom
Vacuumed Living room, hallway, computer room, sewing room
Talked to both my sisters.
Re-arranged the items in my Etsy Shop
Tweeted some new items
Posted on facebook too.
Found a table runner pattern I want to make for Christmas
Last load of throw rugs out of dryer

and now this blog post......

Boy, I'm sure glad I rested today.

What did you do?

  4. Hmmm.... I can't sit still, even if I think I need a day of rest, but I don't get as crazy as you did!
