Another project finished!

Here's a wallet I made out of 2 different denims for my youngest son's BD coming up next week. Sure hope he doesn't see these pictures. I don't think he's ever been on my blog, so should be okay sharing these pictures.

Am putting a gift card in one of the slots inside, and now I've got togo to the post office to mail it.

Thanks for visiting!

LAVENDER ROSES THIS TIME!

MODA LAVENDER ROSES FABRIC!

My sister, Jerre, my niece and I all went to a couple more of the quilt shops on the Bluebonnet Patchwork Trail Shop Hop yesterday and I found the perfect button for this lavender rose bag. We had a real good time, and saw lots of beautiful quilts, great fabrics, wonderful inspiration for new projects. Bought a few fat quarters, a new Moda charm pack, and another pattern book for bags/purses/totes........stay tuned to see more.
I am really enjoying making all of these purses/totes and here is one from Moda fabrics called Sanctuary by 3 Sisters (sooooo appropriate, since I am always talking about us 3 sisters.) It will be for sale in my store on ebay too! Great detailing on this one; notice the side pocket for your sunglasses, and front pocket for your keys or cell phone.
Go to my Ebay store to see more pictures of the details:

DISAPPEARING PURSE/BAG

This new purse/bag has mysteriously disappeared to my sister's house!

When I showed it to her the other day, she told me it needed a BIG funky button on the tab closure. I told her...."well buy the button...and it's yours." You can't see it in the picture, but it has 2 side pockets just big enough for cell phone & sunglasses.

She bought this button (which she just pinned on for the pictures) and now the purse is gone......and all I have are these stupid pictures! Ah! the LOVE of sisters! (just in case you think this is over...it's not...she has to make me a new funky fabric patchwork blouse in exchange for this bag!)

SHOP HOP GOODIES!

My sister & I went to 3 quilt shops on our local Bluebonnet Patchwork Shop Hop yesterday and had a good time. There are 12 different quilt shops participating with 3 of them being in the Austin, TX area and 9 of them in the San Antonio area. We hope to go to some more of them on Saturday. For every shop you visit, you get a FREE fat quarter! Here's a picture of the ones I got. Also got a pattern and a couple yards of some unique novelty fabric.

THURSDAY'S PLANS

Got to get back on track & go to the gym this a.m. 'cause it's Thursday. Normal workout schedule was Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday, but since missing 9 weeks due to being sick, it's difficult to get back in the groove of going there. Always feel better when exercising, so that's the carrot I'm danlging in front of my sleepy face this morning.

Just thinking of all the sewing/quilting projects I can do when I get back to the energy I get from workouts! Yay!

Got to pull out a special project for my oldest son, Scott, that I have started and get busy on it for his birthday. Can't talk about it yet, as he checks my blog once in a while.........so ......Shhhhhhhhhhh!

Saturday Sewing & Ramblings!

Today I finally got around to cutting out and making the flannel plaid lounge pj's for my oldest son, Scott. He's the one who flew here from San Francisco to help me when I was sick & did all that painting for me.

Now, just got to get them mailed off to him on Monday.

He sent me 2 huge boxes of old stuff from a house they are cleaning out on a contract. Since he was the one who did the painting in my kitchen, he knew the shade of yellow stuff I would be needing and I told him that I was going to decorate it with old fabrics and old utensils, etc. from the 50's. Look at some of the stuff he sent me.

I am going to have such fun decorating my kitchen & dining room, once I get it finished!
Thanks for stopping by!

Got to get more of those Angel blocks finished. Here's a couple pictures! The Angel BOM will still need some embellishments when assembled...like faces, hair, hand embroidery, etc......but...hey!
